A Watershed Coalition is a group composed of a cross-section of watershed stakeholders and volunteers that are all working toward a common goal:
To protect and improve water quality and sustain a healthy watershed ecosystem
Our goal in developing a Kiefer Creek Watershed Coalition is to increase awareness of the creek's overall impairments and work toward restoring the watershed through community involvement, restoration projects, education, and advocacy. By doing this, we'd like to engage organizations and people to come together for the purpose of gaining more influence and power toward providing the action necessary to implement the watershed restoration plan.
In doing so, we'd like to foster partnerships between stakeholders and agencies/organizations that can help carry out best management practices and strategies.
